    Accounting, Tax & Compliance FAQs

Clear answers on outsourced accounting for US, UK, Australian and Canadian firms, NRI taxation, GST notices, audits, company set-up in India and how we work remotely.

    Working with Finsarthi Global

What services does Finsarthi Global offer?

Finsarthi Global is a Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary led firm offering accounting, taxation, audit and corporate legal services. In India we handle GST and income-tax compliance and litigation, statutory and internal audit, Virtual CFO, company law, SEBI compliance, SME IPOs, trademarks and business loans. For clients abroad we provide outsourced bookkeeping, tax return preparation, payroll and remote accounting staff. We also offer AI automation for accounting and GST work (Tally automation, reconciliations, document extraction) and custom software and website development.

Do you work with clients outside India?

Yes. We work remotely with accounting firms and businesses in the USA, UK, Australia, Canada and the UAE, and with NRIs worldwide. Work is delivered online in the client's own software, with calls scheduled in their time zone.

    Where are your offices?

We have two offices in Delhi — 106, ITL Twin Tower, Netaji Subhash Place (110034) and G-21, Ashok Vihar Phase-1 (110052) — and one in Kolkata at P-111, Block A, Lake Town (700089). Clients anywhere can work with us fully online.

Can I send work-from-home or remote assignments?

Yes. You can send one-off assignments such as a year-end file, a backlog clean-up or a set of tax returns at a fixed fee, or hire a dedicated remote accountant who works on your systems every day.

How do I get a quote?

Use the quote form, email info@finsarthiglobal.com, or WhatsApp +91 98734 70791 with a short description of the work. We reply with scope, turnaround and a fixed or hourly fee.

    Indian tax, GST and audit

How do I reply to a GST show-cause notice?

Read the notice to identify the section (73, 74 or 74A), the period and the amount demanded, collect reconciliations and documents, and file a written reply on the GST portal within the time allowed, asking for a personal hearing. A reasoned reply backed by reconciliations often reduces or drops the demand. Our team drafts replies and represents clients at the hearing.

What is the GST Appellate Tribunal (GSTAT)?

GSTAT is the second-level appellate authority under GST. Appeals against orders of the first appellate authority are filed before the tribunal, which has principal and state benches across India.

Who needs a tax audit in India?

Businesses whose turnover exceeds the threshold under the income-tax law (higher where cash transactions are limited) and professionals whose gross receipts exceed the prescribed limit must get their accounts audited by a Chartered Accountant and file the audit report before the due date.

What does a Virtual CFO do?

A Virtual CFO provides part-time senior finance leadership — accounting oversight, MIS, budgeting, cash-flow management, tax planning and investor reporting — at a fraction of the cost of a full-time CFO.

Outsourced Accounting, Bookkeeping & Tax Preparation for Firms Worldwide

What is outsourced or offshore accounting?

It means an external team — in our case qualified accountants in India — does your bookkeeping, reconciliations, year-end work, payroll or tax-return preparation remotely, working inside your software. You keep client ownership and final sign-off; we provide the capacity.

    Which countries do you serve?

We work with accounting firms and businesses in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and the UAE, and with Indian businesses and NRIs. Each country page explains the specific services and compliance requirements.

How do you price outsourced accounting work?

We offer a fixed monthly fee for recurring bookkeeping, a fixed price per assignment (for example a year-end file or tax return), an hourly rate for ad-hoc work, or a monthly fee for a dedicated full-time accountant. We quote after a free scoping call.

How do you keep client data confidential?

Every team member signs an NDA, we work inside your cloud systems with individual MFA-protected logins, files move through encrypted portals rather than email, and access is removed whenever you ask.

Can we try you before committing?

Yes. We normally start with a small pilot assignment so you can check quality, communication and turnaround before handing over more work.

Outsourced Bookkeeping & Tax Preparation Services for US CPA Firms

Can an Indian accounting firm prepare US tax returns?

Yes. Offshore teams commonly prepare US individual and business returns as support for US CPA and EA firms. The US firm's signing preparer reviews, signs and e-files the return, and the taxpayer's consent under IRS Section 7216 is obtained before return information is disclosed to the offshore preparer.

Which US tax forms do you prepare?

Form 1040 with common schedules and state returns, Form 1065 partnership returns, Form 1120 and 1120-S corporate returns with K-1s, and year-end 1099s. Tell us your mix and we will confirm fit during the scoping call.

How does the time difference work for US firms?

India is 9.5 to 13.5 hours ahead of mainland US time zones, so files you send in the evening are usually worked on overnight and back the next morning. We also keep a daily overlap window for calls.

Do you work in QuickBooks Online and Xero?

Yes. We work directly in your QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop (via remote access) or Xero files, together with tools such as Gusto, ADP, Bill.com and Dext.

Can you help during tax season only?

Yes. Many firms use us for January–April and September–October overflow, then keep a smaller monthly bookkeeping engagement for the rest of the year.

Do you prepare year-end accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105?

Who will work on our UK clients?

A dedicated UK desk led by our Xero and QuickBooks certified UK accounting specialist, with review by a Chartered Accountant. You get named contacts, not a rotating pool.

How do you comply with UK GDPR?

We sign confidentiality and data-processing terms, work inside your systems with individual MFA logins, avoid storing client data locally and remove access on request.

How much can a UK practice save by outsourcing?

Practices typically save 40–60% compared with recruiting locally, and free their team to focus on advisory work and client relationships.

Offshore Accounting, BAS & Tax Return Preparation for Australian Firms

Can an offshore team prepare Australian tax returns?

Yes, as support for a registered tax agent. Under the Tax Agent Services Act 2009 the registered agent must supervise and control the work and lodges the return; our team prepares the financial statements, returns and workpapers for that review.

Do you work on SMSF files?

Yes. We prepare SMSF financial statements, member statements and workpapers in Class Super or BGL, ready for your review and for the independent SMSF auditor.

What hours does your team work for Australian clients?

India is 4.5 to 5.5 hours behind Australian eastern time, so our working day overlaps with your afternoon, and work sent in your evening is ready the next morning.

How do you handle data privacy for Australian clients?

We sign NDAs and data-handling terms, work within your practice software with individual MFA logins and follow your obligations under the Privacy Act 1988.

NRI Tax Services — Indian Income Tax, Property & Repatriation Handled Online

Does an NRI need to file an income tax return in India?

An NRI must file an Indian income tax return if their total Indian income exceeds the basic exemption limit, or to claim a refund of excess TDS, or to carry forward losses. Income such as rent, interest on NRO deposits and capital gains on Indian assets is taxable in India.

How much TDS is deducted when an NRI sells property in India?

The buyer must deduct TDS on the capital gains at the rates applicable to NRIs (plus surcharge and cess), which is often much higher than the final tax. An NRI can apply for a lower or nil TDS certificate before the sale so that only the correct amount is withheld.

How can NRIs avoid double taxation?

India has double taxation avoidance agreements (DTAAs) with most countries. With a tax residency certificate from your country of residence, you can claim treaty rates in India and a foreign tax credit in your home country for Indian tax paid.

How much money can an NRI repatriate from an NRO account?

Under FEMA, NRIs can remit up to USD 1 million per financial year from NRO balances (including property sale proceeds), subject to tax compliance and a CA certificate for the remittance.

Can I complete everything without visiting India?

Yes. We work fully online — document upload, e-verification of returns, and calls in your time zone. A visit is needed only in rare cases such as certain bank formalities.

At least two directors and two shareholders, and at least one director must have stayed in India for at least 182 days during the financial year (proportionately for a newly incorporated company).

    What FDI reporting is required?

Foreign investment received must be reported to the RBI on the FIRMS portal within the prescribed time, supported by a valuation report, and an annual return on foreign liabilities and assets is filed every year.

How do I hire a remote accountant from India?

Do you take one-off work-from-home assignments?

AI & Automation for Accounting, Tax and Finance Teams

Can you automate data entry into Tally?

Yes. We build tools that create sales, purchase, journal and inventory vouchers in TallyPrime automatically from Excel, marketplace reports, invoices or other systems, using Tally's XML interface, and read reports back out of Tally for reconciliation and MIS.

Can AI read purchase invoices and bills of entry?

Yes. AI and OCR can extract supplier, GSTIN, invoice number, dates, HSN, taxable value and tax from PDFs and scans. We add validation rules and a review step so only checked data reaches your books.

How do you automate GST reconciliation?

We match GSTR-2B with your purchase register and GSTR-1 with your sales register on GSTIN, invoice number, date and amounts, with tolerance rules, and produce a mismatch report listing missing, excess and differing invoices.

Is our financial data safe when you use AI?

We use AI only with providers and settings you approve, keep processing on your systems where possible, sign NDAs, and hand over the code so you are not locked in.

How much does an automation project cost?

Each project is quoted at a fixed price after a process walkthrough. Small automations such as a report or an import can take days; larger integrations take a few weeks.
